Besides providing network opportunities, lifelong friends, and scholarly resources, we put on a variety of events for our members. Each semester members must earn a certain amount of points from attending events. Read below to learn more about our events!

What We AEDo!

Our health events are focused on exposing our members to different areas in the health field as well as focusing on the well-being of our minds and bodies.

  • ASTEC Lab Tour

  • Seminars from doctors, nurses, vets, etc

Our philo events are focused on giving back to the Tucson community and getting involved in organizations and projects locally.

Some previous events include:

  • Volunteering at the local food bank

  • Blood Drives

  • Volunteering at the Pima Animal Care Center

  • Painting Ben’s Bells

  • Participating in hygiene, baby clothes, and book drives

  • Volunteering at Z Mansion

The purpose of our fundraising events are to raise money for our organization so that we can continue putting on events for the enjoyment and professional development of our members.

Some previous events include:

  • Percentage nights (Chiptotle, Panda Express, Sauce, etc)

  • March Madness and Bachelor brackets

  • AED merchandise sales

  • Phlebotomy classes

  • Movie Night Fundraiser

The purpose of our social events is to provide fun experiences for our members can get to know each other and hang out in a stress-free environment away from school.

Some previous events include:

  • Goat yoga

  • Pottery painting

  • Trampoline parks

  • Roller skating

  • Game nights

  • Group hikes

Our development events are aimed towards preparing our members for their future careers and post-undergrad activities.

Some previous events include:

  • Mock MMI interview prep

  • MCAT student panels

  • Resume building workshops

  • Help with finding undergraduate research experience

  • Public speaking workshops

Some other events that you would be able to take part in include:

  • Big/little program

  • Induction and Initiation ceremonies

  • New member retreat

  • Annual active member retreat

  • Wellness events like Yoga on the Mall, painting, meditation, and more!
